If you are watching this at 2 AM or sitting in your car dreading walking through the front door, you are not lazy. You are biologically injured.

In this video, we merge modern nursing science with ancient Ayurvedic wisdom to explain why you can sleep for 8 hours and still wake up exhausted.

We look at "Sympathetic Dominance", a state where your body's "battery" is draining faster than it can charge.

Most importantly, we don’t just talk about the problem. I guide you through a specific 5-minute "Driveway Reset" meditation designed to stop the energy leak instantly.

if you are watching this sitting in the car in the driveway because you can't, bringing yourself go through the door. or if you woke up today feeling like you ran a marathon in your sleep.

I need you to hear something. You are not lazy. are biologically injured.

Hi, my name is Jean-Francois and on this channel we merge

modern nursing and ancient Ayurveda

Today we are diagnosing why you can sleep for eight hours and still feeling very exhausted. It has nothing to do with willpower.

It's a specific physiological state called sympathetic dominance. and if you treat it like laziness by forcing yourself to push harder, you are only deepening the injury.

by the end of that video, you will understand why your body is stuck And we are going to fix it together right now with a five minutes medical intervention

If you are looking that from the driver's seat, you don't even to move.

let's look at this through a nursing lens. Imagine that your body is a phone battery. When your phone is at 80%, you use it freely. At 20%, you start to worry. But at the shuts down non-essential functions to protect the hardware.

As a caregiver, you are living at one person. This is what we call chronic sympathetic activation. Every time the phone rings, every time you check a medication schedule, every time you anticipate a crisis your body dump cortisol into your blood. So here is the medical reality. Tiredness is physical.

You move boxes, you get tired, you sleep, you recover. Depletion is neurological. It means your off switch. The parasympathetic nervous system is jammed. You are lying in bed trying to sleep, but your brain is still scanning for threats. resting, your engine is redlining in neutral. This is why sleep isn't fixing it.

Ayurveda described this thousand of years before we had words to express it. And that word is cortisol. In our culture we praise output energy. We call that rajas. Rajas is the energy of fire, movement, and getting things done. And I don't say that you don't need also require the energy of

Tamas, the energy of heaviness, stillness, and grounding.

When you spend all your day in Rajas, you burned your Ojas. And Ojas is your vital nectar. is your immunity, the buffer that gives you patience and resilience.

So think of an oil lamp. If the oil is gone, it doesn't matter how many times you're going to try to light the wick, it won't burn.

So how do we add oil to the lamp when we don't have time for a spa day or even a three hour nap We micro dose the rest and that's exactly what we're gonna do now. We are going to use sound and breath to hack the nervous system.

So if we keep the image of the phone, we don't need to shut down the phone but you might have to shut down some of the apps in the background, So we can just keep the core usage of the phone.

All right, this practice is designed for the in-between, meaning that it could be while you are waiting in your car, in an appointment at the hospital,

could be in the driveway, as I said it before, It could be at home simply when you need a five minute rest. You could do a lie down when you are at home or you can simply sit. What I'm going to do today is I'm going to simply use the sitting version.

Wherever you are looking at video in your car, if you are parked make sure that the engine is off. Put your phone down and recline your seat just a few inches. Let's stop the energy leak together for a five minute reset now.

So as you take a comfortable seat, close your eyes if that feels okay with you or you can keep your eyes on a fixed object in front of you. Feel the back of your body supported by the seat behind you. Feel the heaviness of your hands on your lap. Take a deep breath in through the nose.

and let it out long audible sigh through the mouth.

One more inhale.

and sigh it all out.

Let the shoulders drop away from your ears.

And I want you to send your hearing out as far as it can go. Notice the most distant sounds you can hear. Might be traffic far away, a siren, or simply the wind. Don't analyze them.

Just touch them with your awareness and move to the next. Now bring your hearing close. Sound just outside of the car or the room, footsteps, birds.

And finally, bring your hearing inside the car. The ticking of the cooling engine. The hum of the silence.

And if that feels comfortable, finally bring your hearing inside your own body.

Can you hear the sound of your own breath? The sound of your own heartbeat.

Now bring your attentions to your feet. Feel them connecting with the floor. Imagine roots growing from your heels down into the earth. You are held. Soften the belly. We hold so much fear in the stomach. Let it go. Soft. Soften the jaw. Unclench the teeth.

Let the tongue fall away from the roof of the mouth.

Soften the space in between your eyebrows. Smooth out the rowdy line. You are safe here. Nothing needs you for the next two minutes. You are off duty.

I want you now to visualize that vital energy that Ojas has a golden light. And every time you inhale, imagine pulling that golden light up from the earth, feeding your entire body.

Every time you exhale, imagine a gray smoke leaving your body.

Carrying away the stress, the fatigue, the noise. Inhale, gold. Exhale grey smoke

Inhale peace

Exhale, release.

Now just come back to your regular natural breath.

maybe slowly start to deepen that breath.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes. Notice the seat beneath you again.

And when you are ready, gently blink your eyes open. Take a moment before you move. You have just refilled the lamp. Carry this stillness with you.

I hope it gave you a moment of peace. If you found this helpful, please save that video to come back to that five minutes reset.

remember resting is not laziness, it's the medicine that will let you keep caring.

I will see you in the next video. In the meantime, take care of yourself.
